Quick-Counseling Guide Now Available
A new free resource is now available on the Materials page of the CirclePoint program website. The resource, the CirclePoint Quick-Counseling Guide, is designed to help educators, physicians, and others who become aware of a bullying problem to provide counseling to the bullied student and guidance to the student’s caregiver(s) on effective ways to solve the bullying problem. The need for this guide was first identified during bullying talks between students and program creator Ari Magnusson in schools that are using the CirclePoint student guides but that have not formally implemented the CirclePoint program. These talks would frequently result in students admitting to bullying problems. This guide will allow educators who are responsible for these students to effectively counsel them and help them resolve their bullying problems. The guide has also been adopted to be used by physicians who screen for bullying, to allow them to provide guidance to patients and caregivers.
