In addition, the guide provides information on implementing the Method. The mechanisms are easy to implement and are designed to allow administrators to resolve bullying issues while maintaining compliance with district-mandated policies. NEW EDITION FOR 2024! This comic-style guide teaches elementary and middle school students how to prevent and stop bullying on their own or with adult help. Ostensibly written by the two title characters, the guide covers bullying basics, how to respond to aggression to render it ineffective, ways to get bullying to stop, how to help someone who is being bullied, and how to get an adult to help the right way. The title characters explain and demonstrate the concepts, providing students with easy-to-follow examples they can apply to their own bullying problems. The guide is ideal for providing social-emotional learning specific to bullying and aggression. The guide can be used as an SEL class supplement, for counseling, and as an independent read. This supplement, designed to be read with an adult or used in the classroom, teaches younger students in grades K–2 basic skills that can help them in their daily social interactions involving the types of aggression common at their grade level. The supplement helps to prepare younger students for the aggression they will face in the upper grades. The document can also be used as a social emotional learning class supplement and for counseling. The purpose of this guide is to explain Chain of Custody Awareness, a program mechanism, to adults whose sole role is to monitor students in a non-teaching capacity—e.g., cafeteria monitor, recess/playground monitor, or a non-teaching substitute—so those adults understand how the mechanism works and what they are required to do in a school that has implemented the program.

This guide was originally developed for doctors and other medical professionals who might identify a bullying problem but not be directly involved in the management and resolution of the problem. The guide is intended to help an adult to provide effective counseling to a bullied child and/or caregiver in a very brief period of time and to recommend next steps for resolving the bullying problem. The guide outlines the general points that should be covered in the conversation and provides examples of what the adult can say for each point. The guide can also be used in schools that provide the CirclePoint student guides to students but have not implemented the full program.
